I could not wait to tell daddy. I called him at work and tried not to sound fishy. I asked him if he would meet me for lunch. He said sure! I planned to surprise him by tying pink and blue balloons to the pregnancy test and laying out a pink and green onesie. The pink onesie had a deer on it and said, "Daddy's Little Dear." The green onesie had a deer and said, "Daddy's Huntin Buddy." Daddy cancelled our lunch because he was busy at work so I had to keep the news a secret all day! It was so hard!
When daddy finally got home, I had everything set up on the bed in our bedroom. I asked him if he would come see the new blinds we had installed on our window. When he came in, he looked confused at first and then when he figured it out he was so excited! We hugged and kissed and took some pictures together.
To celebrate that night, we went out to Niko's Lodge for dinner together (that is where we had the rehearsal dinner for our wedding). We talked about the future with you in it! We decided to wait a little bit before we told the rest of the family. We wanted to keep it our secret for a little while.
